CVS ~ a look ahead for the week of 7/27 - 7/30.

Here are the best deals I found in the CVS ad for 7/24 through 7/30 -- and I strongly recommend you start making room in your linen closets to stockpile shampoo and shaving cream!

CVS deals do require a free Extra Care card, and I also highly suggest signing up for the CVS Beauty Club for another 10% back on your cosmetics, skincare, and haircare purchases.

Freebies in the CVS ad 7/23 - 7/30/11

• PaperMate pens -- 10-pack on sale for $1.99, with $1.99 back in Extra Bucks.
• Crest Pro-Health rinse -- on sale for $2.99, with $2 back in Extra Bucks.  Use the $1 off coupon from the 6/05 P&G insert and yours is free.
• Bausch & Lomb Re-Nu Sensitive contact lotion -- on sale for $7.89, with $6 back in Extra Bucks.  Use the $2 off coupon from the 6/12 Smartsource and yours is free.

CVS Get Free Gas promo 7/23 - 7/30/11
I didn't care for a lot of the options in this week's gas promo, because it's mainly candy purchases, which I think would only be useful if you hide them until Halloween rolls around.  There is one deal I did find interesting, though:

• Aussie or Herbal Essences hair care -- on sale 2 for $4.97.  Use the $3 off 2 coupon from the 7/03 P&G insert to pay $1.97 for two bottles instead.

If you had seven copies of that $3 off 2 coupon, you could buy a whopping 14 bottles worth of various Aussie and/or Herbal Essences for $13.79 after those coupons were applied.  Then you would score your $10 gas card, so it's really like paying $3.79 for all 14 bottles.  That works out to just 27 cents a bottle. 

And remember, the Get Free Gas promo items don't need to be bought all on one receipt, just with the same Extra Care card.  So you could bounce around to a couple CVS locations if necessary to collect your hair care products.

• Skintimate shave cream -- on sale for $2.19 per tube, and part of the Spend $20, get $10 back in Extra Bucks deal on assorted Schick and Playtex products.  Click here to see the deal that drops your final price down to 9 cents each.  *stockpile price*
• U by Kotex pads, tampons or liners -- on sale for $3.49 per box, with $2 back in Extra Bucks.  Use the $1 off coupon that should be arriving in the 7/24 Smartsource insert, and your final price is 49 cents each.  *stockpile price*
• Ivory 3-pack of bars -- on sale for 99 cents each.  Use the 50 cents off coupon from the 7/03 P&G, and your final price falls to 49 cents.
• Chex Mix Sweet and Salty -- on sale for $1 per bag.  Use the 50 cents off coupon from the 7/10 Smartsource insert, and pay 50 cents per bag.
• Nabisco cookies or crackers -- 4 to 8oz. packs on sale 4 for $5, with $1 back in Extra Bucks.  Use two copies of the $1 off 2 coupon from the 6/19 Smartsource, and pay 50 cents each instead.
• Softsoap liquid or foaming hand soap -- on sale for $2 each, with $3 back in Extra Bucks when you buy three.  Use three copies of the 35 cents off coupon that should be arriving in the 7/24 Smartsource insert, and your final price plummets to 65 cents each.  *stockpile price*
• Kleenex -- on sale for 88 cents per box (limit 5 per transaction.)  Buy three boxes and use the 50 cents off 3 coupon from the 7/17 Smartsource insert.  Your final price drops to 72 cents per pack.
• Sunkist, 7Up, Canada Dry, or A&W -- on sale for 88 cents per bottle.  *stockpile price*
• Softsoap body wash -- on sale for $3, with $3 back in Extra Bucks when you buy three.  Use three copies of the 75 cents off coupon that should be arriving in the 7/24 Smartsource insert, and your final price after Extra Bucks drops to $1.25 each.
• All Veet products -- on sale for $6.99.  Sign up for this $3 off coupon to get yours for $3.99 instead.
• Olay Regenerist kits or treatments -- on sale for $24.99, with $5 back in Extra Bucks.  Use the $3 off coupon from the 7/03 P&G to drop your price to $16.99 instead.  Remember that these also qualify for the $20 Olay rebate form available right now.
• Spend $10 on Almay cosmetics, get $4 back in Extra Bucks.  No prices listed, but use copies of the $1 off coupon from the 6/26 Smartsource for the best price.
• Spend $15 on L'Oreal cosmetics, get $5 back in Extra Bucks.  No prices listed, but you can use the assortment of $2 off and $3 off coupons that should be arriving in the 7/24 Red Plum insert for additional savings.
• Spend $20 on Lumene skin care, get $5 back in Extra Bucks.  If your store is back in stock on the $2.99 facial wipes, these count towards your Extra Buck -- plus you can use the $4 off Lumene coupon from the 6/19 Smartsource for extra savings.
• Pilot pens -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed.
• Illy single-serve coffee drinks -- on BOGO sale, no prices listed.
